Or maybe a trick, like a twist ending or a poem which just about turns your neck around trying to keep track of body parts and gapes. You’ve got until November to get us your sex. Anything after will be considered of course for Issue #3, with a tentative deadline of lets say, Valentine’s Day.

Ivan E. Coyote, one of the best storytellers this country has, is reading at Swizzles on Sunday Nov 2nd. It begins at 2pm. She’ll be bringing along her fiction workshop students — including The M&P’s own Jeremy Hanson-Finger & Kate Maxfield. This event is courtesy of The Dusty Owl, likely the loudest reading series in town.
Better Read Than Dead, 7pm, Thursday Nov. 6 @ The good ole Avant-Garde Bar. It’s put on by The Ottawa Arts Review, which according to sources is “alive” and “kicking”. Featured readers include the illustrious Cameron Alistair Owen Anstee and John Newlove Award-Winner Sean Moreland.
